League Office Announces 2023 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team

CHICAGO --- Conference champion University of St. Francis and league runner-up Olivet Nazarene University boasted the most honorees when the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2023 Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team on Tuesday afternoon.  Both squads had eight individuals named to the 35-member list.

Saint Xavier University was next in line with six runners recognized, followed by St. Ambrose University with five honorees.  Trinity Christian College, meanwhile, had three student-athletes awarded, with Governors State University and Judson University each producing two recipients.  Rounding out the list of schools was Roosevelt University with one runner gaining the accolade.

Better than half of the team – a total of 19 – were on the squad one year ago with ten of those being three-peat selections and one individual being named to the team four straight years.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
