USF's Bukowski Uses Career-Best Time To Earn Women's CC Weekly Honors

CHICAGO --- University of St. Francis' Olivia Bukowski (Oak Lawn, Ill.) ran the best race of her collegiate career on Saturday and on Wednesday was recognized for it when she was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Bukowski set a new personal record with her 5K time of 18:39.4 at the Aquinas College (Mich.) NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.  That placed her sixth in a field of 189 runners and also led to the team capturing the meet title.

A total of 22 teams competed in the event with 11 of those being NAIA Top 25 clubs.  USF, ranked No. 15, upset three of those squads with its top finish.

Other Nominees: Lilly Butler (Indiana Northwest), Catrina Farris (Trinity Christian), Eleanor Fournier (Olivet Nazarene), Kaitlyn Knoche (St. Ambrose), Olivia Mathis (Saint Xavier).
