CCAC Announces Its 2023 Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team

CHICAGO --- Led by league regular-season champion Judson University, a total of 62 student-athletes were named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles' program totaled ten recipients on the list of honorees, followed by conference tournament champion St. Ambrose University and Indiana University South Bend with nine awardees each.  Next in line was Trinity Christian College with six selections.

Earning five spots each were Olivet Nazarene University, Roosevelt University, Saint Xavier University and University of St. Francis, with Indiana University Northwest producing four honorees.  Calumet College of St. Joseph and Governors State University each had two individuals make the team.

All 11 schools sponsoring the sport of women's volleyball were represented.

Thirty-two of the awardees were on the team last fall, as well, with 13 of those individuals making the list for the third year in a row.  There was also one four-time recipient.  Six honorees also boasted perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages.     

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
