Top NAIA Marks Earn Weekly Women's Outdoor T&F Honors For ONU's Antkoviak, SAU's Miller

CHICAGO --- Recording some of the best marks in the NAIA this spring, Olivet Nazarene University's Hannah Antkoviak (Allegan, Mich.) and St. Ambrose University's Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) have been named as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the seven-day period ending April 7, the league office announced on Thursday.

Antkoviak was also recognized as the NAIA National Track Athlete of the Week for her marks set at the Southern Illinois University Bill Cornell Invite on Saturday.  There, the junior won both the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash with "A" standard performances and a "B" mark and second-place finish as part of ONU's 4x100-meter relay team.

Antkoviak recorded the second-fastest times in the NAIA this year in both the 100-meter hurdles (13.78 seconds) and 400-meter dash (54.89 seconds).  Her quartet ran the relay in 47.73 seconds.

Miller also registered a pair of "A" standard efforts in her two events, the shot put and discus.  Her discus distance of 158 feet, 11 inches not only currently ranks second in the nation, but also established a new Fighting Bee mark.  It also gained her a second-place finish at the Augustana University Viking Olympics on Saturday.

Miller captured the shot put event, as well, at the same meet with the ninth-best effort in the NAIA this spring, 46 feet, 0.75 inches.
