Olivet Nazarene Totals 280 Points To Capture Seventh Straight Women's Outdoor T&F Championship

JOLIET, Ill. --- Outscoring its next-closest challenger by over 100 points, Olivet Nazarene University captured its seventh consecutive Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship by winning six individual events and one relay race and totaling 280 points over the weekend.

Saint Xavier University, which also won a relay as well as three individual titles, was second with 174.5 points, followed by St. Ambrose University with 139 points.  Like SXU, the Fighting Bees notched three individual championships and one relay title.

University of St. Francis, which finished fourth with 124 points, secured the second-most individual crowns with its four.  The rest of the scoring had Trinity Christian College with 43 points, Judson University with 24 and Roosevelt University with 8.5 points.  Trinity Christian brought home two individual titles and Judson one.

Olivet Nazarene University's Hannah Antkoviak (Allegan, Mich.) had a big weekend.  She used two record-setting performances and another two runner-up finishes to gain CCAC Outstanding Track Event Performer honors.

The sophomore established new marks in both the 100- (13.68 seconds) and 400-meter dashes (54.57) as part of her 36-point effort.  Her other 16 points came in the 200-meter dash (25.00) and as part of the Tigers' 4x400-meter relay team, which ran a 4:02.09.

St. Ambrose University's Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.), meanwhile, won each of her two events to claim CCAC Field Event Performer accord.  The junior also established a new conference record with her distance of 153 feet, 3 inches in the discus.  In the shot put, her top throw covered 44 feet, 11.5 inches.

Olivet Nazarene's Kyle Rago was selected by his peers as the CCAC Coach of the Year.

Two other records that were broken at the meet came from St. Francis' Katherine Bakken (Rochelle, Ill.) in the 5,000-meter race (17:45.97) and Olivet Nazarene's 4x100-meter relay team of Kiara Carter (Chicago, Ill.), Kimberly Brent (Westmont, Ill.), Tera Miller (Washington, Ill.) and Olivia Sturrup (Milledgeville, Ill.).  They produced a time of 46.88 seconds.   

The top three finishers in each event gained all-conference status.
