Weekly W. Track & Field Honors Go To SAU's Miller, ONU's Antkoviak

CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) continued her strong outdoor season with her third Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award, while Olivet Nazarene University's Hannah Antkoviak (Allegan, Mich.) captured her first such honor on the track side, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Antkoviak won each of the two events that she was a part of at the Indiana Tech Monday Meet last week. Individually, she captured the 400-meter hurdles with her "A" standard mark of 1:02.02, topping 25 other challengers. That time is the third fastest in the NAIA this spring.

The freshman was also a part of ONU's winning 4x400-meter relay team, which crossed the finish line in 3:57.99, or nearly six seconds faster than the team's next closest challenger.

Miller set a personal record as well as placing in the top three in a pair of events at the Coe College Rittgers Invitational on Friday to win her third CCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor. The sophomore's distance of 45 feet, 3.5 inches in the shot put was three feet longer than her previous best, while placing second in the meet. The mark was also the second longest in school history and ranks seventh among the top performances in the event this year.

Miller also placed third among 21 competing in the discus with a throw of 125 feet.

Other Track Nominees: Leah Rose (St. Ambrose), Ana Pineda (St. Francis).

Other Field Nominees: Lynette Latocha (Olivet Nazarene), Teghan Tillman (St. Francis).
