Butler, Miller Sweep Women's T&F Weekly Honors For SAU

CHCAGO --- Top 5 efforts from Gabbie Butler (Middleton, Wis.) and Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) during the seven-day period ending April 10 have enabled St. Ambrose University to sweep the latest round of Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Butler secured three Top 5 finishes to gain the track honors. Her top placement was a third-place showing as part of the 4x100-meter relay team at the Concordia University (Neb.) Invitational on Saturday. That group recorded a time of 49.82 seconds.

SAU's 4x400-meter relay team, which the sophomore was also a part of, placed fifth with a time of 4:15.77.

In her two individual events, Butler registered personal-best marks. She was fourth in the 400-meter dash at 1:00.83, while finishing the 200-meter dash in 27.33 seconds.

Miller claimed CCAC Field Athlete of the Week recognition for the second week in a row courtesy of a pair of Top 5 finishes. The sophomore set a personal record in the shot put with her 42 feet, 6.25 distance to place fourth in a field of 39 participants.

Miller added a fifth-place effort in the discus with her 138-3 throw.
