USF's Corona, SAU's Miller Claim Women's T&F Weekly Accolades

CHICAGO --- A top NAIA mark from University of St. Francis' Laisha Corona (Lockport, Ill.) and two first-place finishes by St. Ambrose University's Annah Miller (Manito, Ill.) have earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Corona boasts the fastest time in the nation in the 10,000-meter run following her seventh-place finish and "A" standard mark at the Washington University (Mo.) Distance Classic on Friday. The senior's time of 35:53.98 also set a new school record at St. Francis.

Miller won both the shot put and discus events at the St. Ambrose Spring Opener on Saturday. The sophomore recorded a distance of 41 feet, 7 inches in the shot put and a 128-4 mark in the discus.
