USF's Pineda, SXU's Harrison Collect Women's Indoor Track & Field Honors

CHICAGO --- A pair of individual titles claimed by University of St. Francis' Ana Mendoza Pineda (Plainfield, Ill.) and a runner-up performance from Saint Xavier University's Amia Harrison (Chicago, Ill.) have earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week accolades, respectively, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Pineda won both the 800-meter and mile runs at the St. Ambrose University (Iowa) Fighting Bee Invite with "B" standard efforts on Saturday.  The junior captured the 800-meter race among 28 individuals with a time of 2:18.99, while crossing the finish line first ahead of 12 other runners in the mile run with her time of 5:09.73.    

Harrison authored a "B" standard leap of 37 feet, 2.25 inches in the triple jump at the Fighting Bee Invite to place second among 12 individuals.  It was also a personal indoor record for the sophomore.
