Perfect At No. 1, USF's Noa Garners Women's Tennis Weekly Accolades

CHICAGO --- Perfect at the No. 1 spot over four matches during the seven-day stretch ending April 14, University of St. Francis' Gabriella Noa (Lima, Peru) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.

The junior did not yield a game in a 5-2 team victory over St. Ambrose University last Wednesday, winning 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0.  She then went on to outlast Olivet Nazarene University's Chieh-Yu Chen in both singles and doubles play on Saturday.  Noa won 7-5, 7-5 in the singles match after her and teammate Anna Bintsarovskaya won a tight 7-6 doubles match.

Both wins on Saturday helped St. Francis score a 4-3 victory over Olivet Nazarene and complete a 2-0 week.  The Saints are currently 2-3 overall and 2-2 in league play.
