Roosevelt's Moya Gains First Women's Tennis Weekly Honor For 2024

CHICAGO --- Roosevelt University's Malena Moya (Buenos Aires, Argentina) has been named the first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the 2024 spring season, the league office announced on Thursday morning.

Moya claimed her first two victories as a collegiate player in her only match of the week.  In a 9-0 win over Lawrence University (Wis.) on Saturday, the freshman won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles and 8-0 at No. 3 doubles with teammate Alyssa Owens.

Roosevelt upped its record to 5-3 on the season with the win.
