Weekly Women's Soccer Honors Presented To TCC's Urribarri, ONU's Dela Vega

CHICAGO --- Trinity Christian College's Michelle Urribarri (Orlando, Fla.) has earned her second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor, while Olivet Nazarene University's Hannah Dela Vega (Oahu, Hawaii) gained her first league recognition on the offensive side of the ball, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Urribarri totaled 12 saves in the seven days between Sept. 25-Oct. 1 in leading Trinity Christian to a 1-0-1 record.  The senior goalkeeper stopped five shots in a 2-2 tie with Viterbo University last Wednesday before delivering seven saves in a 4-1 victory over Roosevelt University on Saturday.

Trinity Christian is currently tied with Olivet Nazarene for the top spot in the league with identical 3-0-1 marks.  Overall, the Trolls are 7-1-2.

Dela Vega was a key player in Olivet Nazarene's 1-0-1 week, providing four of the team's seven goals.  The junior forward authored a hat trick in a 6-0 victory over Governors State University this past Wednesday before scoring the game-tying goal on a header in the 85th minute of the team's 1-1 tie with University of St. Francis on Saturday.

Dela Vega has scored six goals in nine games played this season.

The Tigers are even with Trinity Christian atop the league standings board at 3-0-1.  Overall, the Tigers are 4-2-3.
