VU's Clements Repeats, SXU's Dybas Earns First Women's Soccer Weekly Award

CHICAGO --- Viterbo University's Brooke Clements (Kenosha, Wis.) has claimed her second straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award, while Saint Xavier University's Natalie Dybas (La Grange, Ill.) has earned CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Clements connected on two of her five shots on goal, including the game-winner, in the V-Hawks 9-0 win over Martin Luther College (Minn.) on Friday.  The junior forward also provided a pair of assists for six total points on the day.

The contest was the only one on the week for Viterbo, which is now 2-1-1 on the young campaign.

Dybas had a busy week in goal for Saint Xavier, posting two shutouts and allowing just one goal over the three matches played by the Cougars.  In all, the freshman made 11 saves during the week, including four each in the two shutouts.

Those came in a 1-0 win over Bethel University (Ind.) last Tuesday and a 0-0 tie with Point Park University (Pa.) on Thursday.  Dybas stopped another three shots on goal Sunday in a 1-1 tie with Fontbonne University (Mo.).

Saint Xavier remained unbeaten on the season at 2-0-2 following its 1-0-2 week.
