IUSB's Phelps Claims Third Women's Basketball Weekly Honor This Season

CHICAGO --- Indiana University South Bend's Tenleigh Phelps (Shelbyville, Ind.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Averaging 22.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists over two contests during the week ending Jan. 14 punched Phelps' ticket to the award.  She also helped keep the Titans' records perfect both overall (16-0) and in league play (8-0) with a 73-66 victory over Saint Xavier University and an 84-63 defeat of St. Ambrose University.

The junior guard popped in 20 points and registered eight rebounds and five assists in the victory over Saint Xavier last Wednesday.  She then put up 24 points, 17 rebounds and two assists versus St. Ambrose on Sunday.

Phelps' name can be found atop the conference leaderboard in both scoring (20.5 ppg) and field goal shooting (.626), while ranking sixth in both rebounding (7.3 rpg) and free throw percentage (.783) for the No. 21-ranked Titans.
