Hofman, Fleischauer Sweep Softball Weekly Awards For Trinity Christian

CHICAGO --- Trinity Christian College swept Week 5 of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball awards with Alex Hofman (Monee, Ill.) being named the CCAC Player of the Week and Zoey Fleischauer (Kankakee, Ill.) the CCAC Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Hofman was perfect at the plate in a doubleheader sweep of Maranatha Baptist University (Wis.) last Tuesday, where she went 4-for-4 with two doubles, five runs batted in and three runs scored.  The junior third baseman recorded a pair of hits in each contest.

In the nightcap, Hofman's two hits were both doubles and led to her four-RBI game.

Fleischauer, meanwhile, struck out six of the ten batters she faced in the 15-0 second-game win.  She did not allow a hit in her three innings of work, while walking just one batter in registering the victory in the circle.

Trinity Christian is now 9-15 on the season.
