Top 10 Finish For USF's Reif Leads To Men's CC Weekly Accolades

CHICAGO --- A Top 10 finish at the ultra-competitive Aquinas College (Mich.) NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday has earned University of St. Francis' Michael Reif (Oak Forest, Ill.) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week accord, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Reif recorded the seventh-fastest time at the 8K meet, which featured ten of the top 25 NAIA programs in the nation.  The junior crossed the finish line in 24:59.5 among a field of 243 runners.

As a team, NAIA No. 19 USF placed fifth among 27 squads and upset five higher-ranked teams.

Other Nominees: Luke Benes (St. Ambrose), Jaiden Hurrle (Indiana Northwest), Milos Pendic (Trinity Christian), Isaac Sytsma (Saint Xavier), Taylor Vallangeon (Olivet Nazarene).
