Olivet Nazarene Sweeps Men's Track & Field Weekly Honors
CHICAGO --- The performances of Ethan Hodel (Metamora, Ill.) and Brody Vollrath (Peoria, Ill.) during the seven-day period ending April 17 have enabled Olivet Nazarene University to sweep Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's outdoor track & field weekly accolades, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Hodel gained a pair of top two finishes to land CCAC Track Athlete of the Week honors. His top placement came as a member of the Tigers' 4x400-meter relay team, which won the event in 3:19.60 at the Indiana Tech Monday Meet.
As an individual, the senior captured runner-up honors in the 800-meter run, besting 57 other individuals in a time of 1:54.55.
Vollrath collected CCAC Field Athlete of the Week accord after placing third in the javelin throw at Indiana Tech with a distance of 150 feet, 11 inches.
