First-Place Finishes Result In Weekly Men's Track & Field Honors For ONU's Randle, SAU's Wilson

CHICAGO --- First-place finishes from Olivet Nazarene University's Joseph Randle (Wailuku, Hawaii) and St. Ambrose University's Jonah Wilson (Riverdale, Iowa) have resulted in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field weekly honors for the pair, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Randle claimed a pair of meet titles en route to CCAC Track Athlete of the Week recognition.  The freshman bested 84 other challengers in the 60-meter dash before finishing first out of 78 racers in the 200-meter dash.

Randle ran a 6.85-second 60-meter dash followed by recording a time of 21.58 seconds in the 200-meter dash at ONU's own Walter Cramer Invite on Friday.  The 60-meter time was a NAIA 'B' mark, while the 200 time hit the 'A' standard.  Both marks also established new freshman records for the Tiger program.

Wilson captured CCAC Field Athlete of the Week distinction after recording the sixth-best distance in the NAIA this year in the shot put event at the Cramer Invite.  The senior's mark of 54 feet, 0.5 inches qualified as an 'A' standard and was the top performance among 54 contestants.

Other Track Nominees: Camren Carter (Judson), Sean Harris (Saint Xavier), Zac Maher (Trinity Christian), Chris Miserendino (St. Ambrose).

Other Field Nominees: Ivan Emde (Trinity Christian), Ronnie Foster (Saint Xavier), Noah Sears (Olivet Nazarene).
