Victorious 4-For-4 Stretch Nets Men's Tennis Weekly Honors For JU's Veltkamp

CHICAGO --- Judson University's Alexandre Veltkamp (Streamwood, Ill.) was a victorious 4-for-4 in his four matches played during the seven-day period ending April 14, which netted him Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week accolades on Wednesday when the league office made the announcement.

Veltkamp secured both of his singles matches at the No. 1 position as well as one win each at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles paired up with Chadd Kerrigan.

In a 6-1 team win over Roosevelt University last Wednesday, Veltkamp won his two matches by 6-1, 6-1 and 6-3 counts.  The senior followed that up with a 6-0, 6-2 singles victory and a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles in the Eagles' 7-0 shutout of St. Ambrose University on Saturday.

With the two victories, Judson evened its overall record at 8-8, while moving to 3-1 in conference play.

Other Nominees: Oscar Wai (Holy Cross).
