ONU's Toledo Goes 4-0 To Claim Men's Tennis Weekly Accord

CHICAGO --- Claiming victory in each of his four matches played during the seven-day period ending April 7 has led to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week accolades for Olivet Nazarene University's Davi Toledo (Campinas, Brazil), the league office announced on Thursday.

The junior earned all of his victories at the No. 2 position in both singles and doubles play with the first ones coming on Friday in a 4-0 team victory over Indiana University East.  There, he won 6-2, 6-1 in singles and 6-0 in doubles.

Toledo followed that with 6-0, 6-1 and 7-6 wins on Saturday in ONU's 5-0 conference-opening victory against St. Ambrose University.

The team's 2-0 week moved the Tigers to 3-5 overall and 1-1 against conference competition.

Other Nominees: Perry Gregg (Holy Cross).
