Trinity Christian Sweeps Final Men's Soccer Weekly Awards For 2023

CHICAGO --- Trinity Christian College has swept the final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards for 2023 after impressive performances by Ismael Aguero (Madrid, Spain) and Giorgos Christodoulou (Frennaros, Cyprus) on Saturday in the first round of the CCAC Tournament.  The league office made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.

Aguero scored two of the team's three goals in the Trolls' 3-0 victory over Saint Xavier University to earn CCAC Offensive Player of the Week accord.  The first goal also proved to be the game-winning tally for the sophomore midfielder.

Christodoulou, meanwhile, claimed his third CCAC Defensive Player of the Week award after recording his fifth complete-match shutout and sixth clean sheet including combined blankings.  The junior keeper stopped four shots on goal to send Trinity Christian to the semifinal round of the CCAC Tournament on Wednesday.

The Trolls are 9-6-3 on the season.
