USF's Fernandez-Arango, ONU's Dennis Collect Men's Soccer Weekly Accolades

CHICAGO --- University of St. Francis' Sergio Fernandez-Arango (Madrid, Spain) and Olivet Nazarene University's Josh Dennis (Chicago, Ill.) both played a role in a pair of their respective team goals during the seven-day period ending Sept. 3, leading to both individuals earning Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week accord as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Fernandez-Arango accounted for both goals in USF's first win of the season, a 2-1 decision over Beloit College on Saturday, to land CCAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition.  The junior forward tied the game up at one-all with his first goal in the 50th minute before providing the assist on the game-winner at 64:46.

Fernandez-Arango has played a role in all five goals scored by the Saints in three games this season.  They are 1-2 overall.

Dennis, meanwhile, assisted on a pair of late goals in the NAIA No. 20-ranked Tigers' 4-2 win over Siena Heights University (Mich.) on Saturday.  The two assists gave the sophomore defender a team-best three on the season and his first CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honor.

The contest was the only one played by Olivet Nazarene (2-0) on the week.

Other Offensive Nominees: Holden Devore (Olivet Nazarene).
