
USF's Ramsey Claims Her Second Women's CC Weekly Award of the Season
CHICAGO --- Another strong effort from University of St. Francis' Allison Ramsey (Oak Forest, Ill.) has earned the graduate student her second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
Competing against some of the top runners at both the NCAA I and II levels in the University of Notre Dame National Catholic Invite on Friday, Ramsey registered a time of 18:40.6 on the 5K course. That placed her 37th in a field of 141 runners.
As a team, USF finished seventh among 11 squads.
Making up the team roster were eight NCAA I and two NCAA II universities. St. Francis was the lone NAIA participant.
Other Nominees: Micah Beise (Viterbo), Hannah Haag (Olivet Nazarene), Kaitlyn Knoche (St. Ambrose), Olivia Mathis (Saint Xavier).
