
Personal-Best Marks Net Women's Weekly Outdoor T&F Honors For SXU's Paninka, VU's Wingo
CHICAGO --- Personal-best efforts from Saint Xavier University's Yanira Deana Paninka (Canary Island, Spain) and Viterbo University's Olivia Wingo (Woodruff, Wis.) have earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Paninka broke her own school record with her "B" standard showing in the 400-meter hurdles at the Chicagoland Championships on Saturday. The junior placed second among 27 participants with her time of 1:03.59.
Wingo, meanwhile, repeated as the top field performer by setting a new personal mark in the pole vault. Her NAIA "A" effort of 4.0 meters (13 feet, 1.5 inches) at the Mississippi River Rumble on Saturday placed her tops among nine competitors in the event.
