
USF's Reif Claims Men's CC Runner of the Week Award For Second Time
CHICAGO --- Earning a Top 10 finish at one of the elite NAIA races of the year this past Saturday, University of St. Francis' Michael Reif (Oak Forest, Ill.) secured his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award on Wednesday morning when the league office made the announcement.
Reif placed seventh overall out of 202 runners at the Aquinas College (Mich.) NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, which had 15 of the 22 teams competing either ranked or among others receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll. The senior registered a time of 24 minutes, 28 seconds on the 8K course, which was just 15.4 seconds off the pace of the top runner at the meet.
As a team, USF earned a ninth-place showing.
