USF's Mickelson Claims Second Men's CC Runner of the Week Award

CHICAGO --- University of St. Francis' Sam Mickelson (East Dubuque, Iowa) has claimed his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor of the season, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday.

A graduate student at St. Francis, Mickelson placed third in a field of 111 runners at the Taylor University (Ind.) Ray Bullock Invitational, which featured four NAIA Top 25 programs, including the No. 8-ranked Fighting Saints.

Mickelson registered a time of 25:27.7 over the 8K distance.  He helped lead his squad to a fourth-place finish.
