CHICAGO --- Week 5 men's volleyball honors have been announced by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference with Calumet College of St. Joseph's Francis Hauze (Belize City, Belize) and Brayden Richardson (Belize City, Belize), along with Olivet Nazarene University's Jackson Harvey (Indianapolis, Ind.), collecting the recognition.

Hauze was named the CCAC Attacker of the Week after hitting .534 and averaging 4.9 kills per set in a pair of wins for the Crimson Wave in the seven-day period ending March 9.  Those statistics were just part of solid numbers across the board for the senior outside hitter.  He also averaged 1.8 digs per set and 0.9 blocks per set, while registering five services aces and 39 receptions. 

Hauze put up 26 kills, four aces, eight digs, 20 passes and five blocks in a five-set win over St. Ambrose University on Thursday.  Two days earlier, he notched 13 kills against only one error (.667 attack pct.) to go along with 19 receptions, six digs and two blocks in a straight-set win over Trinity Christian College.

Richardson, the CCAC Setter of the Week, ran the offensive attack to the tune of 9.4 assists per set.  He also provided ten digs (1.3 avg.) and six blocks (0.8 avg.).

The sophomore posted 42 assists, six digs and three blocks in the victory over St. Ambrose after totaling 33 assists, four digs and another three stuffs versus Trinity Christian on Tuesday.

Calumet St. Joseph is 2-1 in league play and 3-8 overall on the year.

Harvey was tough at the net in a pair of matches to land CCAC Defender of the Week honors.  He finished averaging just under two blocks per set with his 1.7 average. 

The highlight for the senior opposite-side hitter was his career-best ten blocks in a four-set win over NAIA No. 8 Westcliff University (Calif.) last Monday.  He also had a career-high five solo blocks in the contest.

Harvey added another two blocks in a three-set loss to Vanguard University (Calif.) last Wednesday.

Olivet Nazarene is 6-7 overall and 1-1 in league play.
