CCAC Announces 122 Men's Soccer All-Academic Selections

CHICAGO --- A total of 122 student-athletes representing each of the 11 institutions sponsoring men's soccer have been named to the 2024 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team with St. Ambrose University headlining the group with its 26 recipients.  The league office made the announcement Monday morning.

St. Ambrose was one of four schools to boast double-figure honorees.  The other three were Judson University with 19 selections, Trinity Christian College with 18 and league regular-season and tournament champion Governors State University with 12.  Just missing the mark were Olivet Nazarene University, Saint Xavier University and University of St. Francis with nine each.

Others named included six individuals from Indiana University Northwest, five each from Holy Cross College and Viterbo University and four at Calumet College of St. Joseph.

Included in the 100-plus awardee count were three student-athletes that were named to the team for the fourth time, 15 recognized for the third time and 26 repeat choices.  Seven on the list produced perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages.   

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
