GSU's Croce, IUN's Collins Notch Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

CHICAGO --- Governors State University's Andrea Croce (Rome, Italy) and Indiana University Northwest's Devun Collins (Stansbury Park, Utah) have claimed Week 7 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week accord, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Croce continued his goal-scoring tear en route to CCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.  The sophomore forward provided a pair of goals in a 5-2 win over Olivet Nazarene University last Wednesday.  That gave him seven goals over a four-game stretch.

Governors State also managed a 1-1 tie with Judson University on Saturday to put the Jaguars' record at 6-2-3 overall and 2-0-1 against league competition.

For the season, Croce has eight goals and three assists.

Collins, meanwhile, secured CCAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition for his performance in a 1-1 draw with Holy Cross College last Tuesday.  The junior goalkeeper stopped seven shots in the contest, which was the only match of the week for the RedHawks.

Indiana Northwest is now 0-1-3 in conference matchups and 0-9-3 overall.
