Indiana University Northwest: Champions of Character Review

GARY, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest Athletic Department participated in community service projects around Northwest Indiana in 2021-2022. The RedHawks volunteered with Northwest Indiana groups and organizations and were able to display the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership found in the NAIA Champions of Character program.

The women's and men's soccer teams went to the Hospice of the Calumet Area in Munster, Indiana to put up Christmas Decorations.

The women's basketball team along with the 21st Century Scholars organization on campus volunteered at the Lake Station Senior Center to write Christmas Cards for the members of the Gary Housing Authority.

The athletic department also participated in the 2021 Popcorn Festival in Valparaiso, Indiana.
